Matthew 22:37-40 tells us “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment, and a second like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
What profound words! ”Christ’s invitation to allow our relationship with God to effect our relationship with our neighbors.” God didn’t just say” I’d like for you to love your neighbor.” He said “You shall love your neighbor.” In following God’s command we have the opportunity to serve Him as we continue our faith journey. People often ask me “What does theWelcoming Ministries do? “ I’d like to share some of the ways in which we try to welcome people and revitalize our personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
