Service to Others
Mentors - Evergreen Elementary, Providence Elementary Silver Streaks - Ages 55 and Up SERVICE Bread of Heaven Ministry: During the month of February, we will be collecting canned soup for our food pantry donations to Sherbourne UMC & Holy Comforter Episcopal. Donation bins are across from our Nursery. The Cross Over Ministry mission trips for 2012 are March 31, April 28, September 15, and October 27. St. Mark’s volunteers are being asked to check calendars prior to the services on Sunday, February 26 and come prepared to sign up for dates that work with personal schedules. There will be a designated table during all three services and volunteers can respond at that time. Previous volunteers not attending St. Mark’s that day will be contacted another way. Our plan is to run two medical teams per Saturday. The number of persons assigned this year as office/data workers will be limited to one volunteer per visit. St. Mark’s nurses, translators, and office workers will have first priority scheduling over community volunteers. We are thankful for the physicians that are stepping forward to serve with us. Our prayers are being answered. In addition, at least three of our volunteers, from the Cross Over Ministry Needs Items are being collected for Cross Over Ministry, ü Post-It notes (3” x 3” or 2” x 2”) and preferably in neon or ultra colors ü Giant silver paper clips ü Pastel blue printer paper ü Pastel pink printer paper ü White out ü BIC Cristal ballpoint pens, medium point with black ink, and ü Other general office supplies. The formulary list from last year is still current and these supplies are needed also. You may secure a list from the Cross Over Ministry container (lime) located across from the nursery. The time frame for all donations will be the same as above, February 26 through March 25. As always, your generous contributions in time, supplies and professional. |
